"You might like to know that I don’t think of myself as an entertainer or an actor, but as someone who likes to communicate with children and families"

Two items: a glossy 8 x 10 promotional photo of Mr. Rogers with his neighborhood trolley model, signed and inscribed in blue ink, “For Pam Anderson, with kindest regards from your ‘neighbor,’ Fred Rogers, 1998”; and a TLS, signed “Fred Rogers,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood letterhead, April 2000, addressed to Jason Hope, in part: “It was interesting to see our comment that you think of me as a talented entertainer for children. You might like to know that I don’t think of myself as an entertainer or an actor, but as someone who likes to communicate with children and families through television…Letters like yours are encouraging to all of us who work on the Neighborhood.” In overall fine condition, with a slight bend to upper part of photo.
