Description

ALS in pencil, signed “Edison,” one page, 5 x 8, no date. Letter to Charles W. Luhr, superintendent and works manager of Edison's lab in West Orange, New Jersey. In full: "Can you spare Burt for about 3 weeks—I want to put the Advertising Machine in shape to mfr cheaply at works about 500 & ultimately more." Mounted and framed to an overall size of 8.5 x 10.75. In very good to fine condition, with light irregular toning, and a fingerprint stain to the right edge.
