TLS signed “Gerald R. Ford,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, June 17, 1980. Letter to Ken Browne, in part: "Reagan can win primarily because the economy by October will be a national disaster with unemployment over 9% and inflation and interest rates high by traditional standards. His unwise economics are the principal cause of this catastrophe. A Reagan victory depends on G.O.P. unity, and I am going to help because Carter has been a disaster. I see no hope for improvement under four more years of Carter." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope bearing a pre-printed free frank.
