ALS, one page, 7 x 10, Hotel Manhattan letterhead, November 23, 1964. Letter to his lawyer Solon Kane, regarding his 1943 divorce from actress, singer, and comedian Hannah Williams. In part: "Will you as my attorney obtain for me a certified copy of my divorce degree [sic]. The divorce was granted to me by Supreme Court of Westchester County, about the year 1940, the name of the case was, Jack Dempsey also Wm. H. Dempsey against Hannah Dempsey." Matted and framed with the original mailing envelope (addressed in Dempsey's hand), along with a portrait and plaque, to an overall size of 21.75 x 20.75. In fine condition, with some rippling to the photo. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
