Two items: a TLS signed "George," one page, 7.5 x 10.5, personal letterhead, December 1, 1980, addressed to Ken Browne, in full: "Thanks for the great congratulatory note which finally caught up with me. All the Bushes, of course, are thrilled with the results of the election. The mandate given President-elect Reagan will aid us in tackling the difficult tasks that lie ahead. Hastily, but with deep appreciation"; and a color glossy 4.5 x 6.5 photo of George and Barbara Bush talking with Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater, matted to an overall size of 7.25 x 9.25, signed and inscribed on the mat in fountain pen, "To Ken, Best wishes, George Bush." Typed caption on reverse of mat notes that the signature was obtained in Phoenix on September 18, 1979. In overall very good to fine condition, with some creasing and staple holes to the letter. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
