Signed and inscribed in fountain pen by the publisher, "Pour monsieur Marcelin, avec mon amitié! Albert Skira, 31/10/48," and artist, "Picasso." Picasso provided the elegant line drawing of Balzac that graces the front cover of the volume. In fine condition, with a few small stains to the signed page. A desirable volume signed by one of the iconic artists of the 20th century, and by a publisher known for his work with the Surrealists.
