Exquisite color 8 x 10 portrait of Pope John Paul II, affixed to its original 9.5 x 13 mount, signed on the mount in fountain pen, "una beneditione, Joannes Paulus PP. II." The portrait is blindstamped by the photographer, "Foto Felici, 20-10-1978, Roma." In fine condition, with light toning to the mount. Pope John Paul II had been elected by the papal conclave just four days before the date of this remarkable portrait. A splendid piece signed by the revered Catholic leader.
