Description

"Don't seem as any of the clubs want to make trades"

ALS signed “Connie,” one page, 7.5 x 7, American Base Ball Club of Philadelphia letterhead, October 29, 1947. Letter to "Shannon," in part: "Mrs. Mack will be unable as well as myself to visit you at Lake Placid Club this winter. Am in hopes that you are enjoying good health and hope you have a nice winter, looks now like we will be unable to make any changes in our club this coming year. Will be necessary to go along with all our regulars as it don't seem as any of the clubs want to make trades unless they got more than they desire for their players." Impressive triple-matted and framed with a portrait and nameplate to an overall size of 28 x 24.5. In fine condition, with a few light brushes to the ink.
