Description

The legacy of Martin Luther King lives on through his wife

TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, December 29, 1969. Letter to Elmer M. Rosenbaum, the director of public relations at Northeastern University, in part: "Thank you for your letter of December 8, 1969 and the invitation extended on behalf of the Honors Convocation Committee at Northeastern University. I regret my inability to serve as guest speaker for the convocation to be held on May 21, 1970. My calendar for the coming year has been filled for sometime with activities to implement plans for various projects in which I am engaged. Among these are the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Center, of which you have perhaps heard, the release of a film on the life of my husband, and the publication of foreign editions of My Life with Martin Luther King, Jr." In fine condition.
