Three items signed by the great British author: a matte-finish 3.75 x 4.75 portrait of him seated and holding a cigarette, signed at the top in fountain pen, "W. Somerset Maugham"; a TLS signed "W. S. Maugham," one page, The Plaza letterhead, October 14, 1950, in part: "It was extremely kind of you to write to me and I appreciate it. I am so glad that my works have given you pleasure"; and a TLS signed "W. S. Maugham," one page, Villa Mauresque letterhead, April 26, 1965, in part: "I am afraid I shall not be coming to my beloved America again. I am now too old and too frail to undertake the journey." In very good to fine condition. Accompanied by multiple original mailing envelopes.
