Large fabric sample prototype developed during the creation of Prince's one-of-a-kind 'Mozart' outfit worn during the 1988 Lovesexy Tour, measuring 20.5″ x 13″, featuring white ribbon appliqued on black fabric. A more elaborate version of this wildly styled fabric,—the final pattern incorporating floral blooms,—was used to create the jacket and pants of the famous costume, which Prince wore during the Lovesexy Tour and which can be seen in the 1988 BBC 'Behind the Beat' special video filmed at Paisley Park Wardrobe at 4 min. 08 sec. In fine condition. Originates from the collection of a PRN Productions employee who worked as a seamstress and tailor in the Paisley Park wardrobe department from 1986-1993. She remembers the 'Mozart' outfit as one of her favorite projects.
