Description

The gods of grunge

Sought-after color glossy 10 x 8 photo of Nirvana seated together on wooden steps, signed in blue felt tip, "David," "Kurdt," and "Chris." In fine condition. Accompanied by full letters of authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services and JSA.

Brennan first met Nirvana in January 1992, in the lobby of NBC when they were at the Thursday music rehearsal for a “Saturday Night Live” performance. After that, he flew to Seattle six times to see Nirvana, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. He followed them before they were famous: “I just knew.” He met them a total of 8-12 times. “In just under two years, it was all over.” He followed them all of 1992 and ‘93. Drummer Dave Grohl is seen wearing a “Secret Sounds” t-shirt on the album cover for “Muddy Banks of Wishkah,” which Brennan gave him. “Dave was always difficult to deal with; Kurt was the easy one.” From The John Brennan In-person Autograph Collection.
