Henry Roeland Byrd (1918-1980), better known as Professor Longhair or 'Fess,' was a New Orleans blues singer and pianist who was posthumously inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and earned a Grammy Award for his early recordings released as House Party New Orleans Style. Yellow 8.5 x 11 flyer for a Professor Longhair and Sunnyland Slim concert in New Orleans on April 15, with an image of Longhair at the piano, signed below in ballpoint, "My Best…Prof. Longhair." In fine condition. Accompanied by a photo of Longhair playing the piano in concert, presumably the event where the autograph was obtained.
