Description

Polish pianist, composer, and politician (1860–1941) whose abounding talent and personal magnetism made him one of the most popular virtuosi of all time. Wonderful 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet portrait by the London Stereoscopic Corporation (and so noted at the bottom and on reverse), considerately signed in black ink in the light portion of the image, “Very truly yours, I. J. Paderewski.” Light scuffing to left side of the image and trivial silvering, otherwise fine condition. An excellent example for display. Provenance: The Barry Hoffman Collection. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
