DS, 50 pages, 8.5 x 11, May 4, 1940. Agreement between composer Richard Rodgers, lyricist Lorenz Hart, and RKO Radio Pictures, with the former party agreeing to sell to the latter rights to the “unpublished and uncopyrighted dramatico-musical work…entitled ‘Too Many Girls’” for a future motion picture. The agreement contains clauses regarding advertising, musical recording rights, and distribution rights. RKO paid Rodgers and Hart $100,000 for their work, which was released in October 1940 and starred Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Rodgers and Hart, and countersigned by screenwriter George Marion, Jr., and RKO Vice President Phil Reisman. In fine condition.
