The Joshua Tree album by U2, signed on the inner gatefold in blue felt tip, "Bono, 87," in green felt tip, "Adam [Clayton]," and in black felt tip, "Best wishes, Edge" and "Larry [Mullen, Jr.]." The front cover bears an affixed 'Makin' Tracks' price label. In fine condition. The record is included.
The consignor notes that the album was obtained at the Makin' Tracks record shop in downtown Belfast after U2 played a small gig for the BBC2 Whistle Test at the BBC studio Balmoral Showgrounds in South Belfast on Sunday, March 8, 1987. The band ventured to Makin Tracks after the show for a midnight meet-and-greet with fans, where they signed copies of their new album, The Joshua Tree, which was officially released worldwide on March 9th—it marked the first new release to be made available on the compact disc, vinyl record, and cassette tape formats on the same date.
