Irish political leader (1775-1847) best known for his tireless efforts on behalf of Catholic Emancipation and the repeal of the Act of Union which combined Ireland and Great Britain. Hand-addressed and free franked address panel, 4.75 x 3, addressed by O'Connell to "T. M. Ray, Esq., Corn Exchange Rooms, Dublin," and franked in the lower left, "Daniel O'Connell." Also dated across the top by O'Connell, "London, February twenty two, 1839," and canceled with a "Free" postmark. Nicely double-matted with a color portrait to an overall size of 9 x 16. In fine condition.
